Hi, I’m Aubree.
I bought my first camera at an estate sale in St. Louis. And then I bought at least 8 more over the next several weeks. I became so infatuated with hunting and discovering old film cameras that I never got around to actually using them.
I moved out west, and my cameras were immediately put to use. I would bring one with me everywhere, and they started giving me reasons to explore new places. There were days I’d spend in the mountains or on the coast doing nothing but taking photos.
I still shoot with some of those same thrifted cameras today, which is exactly where the film sessions come from.
This past year, I invested in a Sony camera and have expanded my portfolio. I took it to basketball games to practice action shots; I also took it whale watching and captured many sea animal tails!
I recently opened a studio where I have been able to put this newer camera to use.
My Cameras
What began as a hobby quickly transpired into a passion for capturing this beautiful world for what it is. Through lots of trail and error, I learned the science and beauty that is film photography. Read about my cameras to confidently choose the one for your session!
Canon AE-1
The first camera I thrifted and the one I use most. This legendary camera was first introduced in 1976; 50 years later and it is still one of the most sought after.
Canon EOS Elan
A camera I picked up at an estate sale in the Bay Area. It doesn’t have as many miles as the AE-1, but it is well loved.
